Director Barney Howells has joined Sydney film company Plaza.

Howells, who began his career in London assisting renowned directors such as Mehdi Norowzian and Traktor, later worked for Partizan where he directed spots for high-profile clients including Playstation and XBox.

Since moving to Australia three years ago, Howells has worked with local agencies including BMF, BWM, DDB and JWT and directed well-known campaigns including MLA Beef's Plate Swap and MLA Lamb's Spring Fashion.

Peter Masterton, executive producer at Plaza, is looking forward to working with Howells.
